I now know that when I want to swatch for dpn’s, I have to knit a swatch all the way around on dpn’s. Tubular, so to speak.

I knitted a swatch for the sock and had 9 st/in. Knitting the actual sock, it’s 8 and slightly more. I knitted the swatch in the proper fashion: knit, knit, knit, blah, blah, blah, turn and turn again, slide, knit, knit, knit, blah, blah, blah, turn and turn again, slide, knit, knit, knit… (I feel like dancin’, dancing’…)

A perfect swatch, but a sock with room to grow.
