Veggies

I made Mom’s Veggie Recipe. I recommend it. It even makes carrots palatable.

J took a better pic of the scarf (see below)

Spring Scarf for A1

spring_scarf_fo.jpeg

This is a scarf for my niece is in Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino. The primary color is a spring green with highlight rows of plum and buttery yellow. I’ve knit it on the bias, decreasing at the beginning of each odd-numbered row and increasing on the other end, for long parallelogram. The pattern is alternating parallelograms, twenty st wide by twenty-two rows with a twisted slip-stich edge. The ends are a travelling k2p2 rib. The scarf was knit from the center out and the color bands, while used in the same order, vary slightly on the two ends.

3-4 skeins Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino (55% merino wool,33% microfibre, 12% cashmere; 125m/50g) 2-1/2 color 340503 (spring green), 3/4 color 340609 (plummy), just a bit of color 340506 (buttery yellow) [my interpretations of the color]

Aspirations

I can only dream of this. This is the stash of FIBRE ALIVE. J adds he thinks I’m headed there.

Spring Scarf, Finished

After long, impatient hours working through the loose ends, most of which resolved themselves when I wet-blocked the scarf, ta-da!

Spring Scarf, Finished

Again, the green is much softer than it appears.

[The light today is abysmal and, as usual, so are my photographic skills. Somebody else in the house has a better camera and is a better photographer, so I might get a better picture later.]

Now all I have to do is put it in a box and go to the post office *shudder*.
