Progress on Most Fronts
Posted on Sunday, 20 February 2005, 08:39Another three-day weekend and it’s supposed to snow again tonight. Fine. I don’t care. I’m not going anywhere anyway. If I don’t have bronchitis, no one does. As a consequence, I’ve had plenty of time to knit.
I’ve finished one-third of Scarf IV.
The plan is to knit another foot in a contrasting color, yet to be determined, then duplicate it and bind the two pieces off together. The brioche pattern has a definite direction to it and I don’t think I could duplicate the cast-on in the bind-off.
Notes on the photo: The #13 bamboo needles are a horror. The yarn doesn’t slide at all. Plastic would probably be better. The bowl is my way of keeping the ball of yarn from rolling away.
I’ve also made huge progress on Hat I.
I finished the crown, undid the provisional cast-on, executed my turning row, and added another 12 rows. And that’s after frogging seven rows to get rid of an errant YO.
Jon, of Jon’s Knit Blog wanted a screen shot of his Sitemeter when it hit 20,000. Here it is.
