Scarf #3 Goes Down This Weekend
Posted on Friday, 4 February 2005, 21:51I am finishing Scarf #3 this weekend. It’s so tedious, and it weighs a ton: 200+ rows, 52 stitches of worsted alpaca/wool k3p2. I will like the finished product, though and I don’t think I’ll block it; I like the chunkiness. I will take a better, color-corrected picture of it when it’s done.
My sister, who just turned 45, has requested a cozy for her gearshift because it gets too hot and too cold depending on the season. She should have bought a cheaper car–my used VW’s gearshift is perfectly fine, but, then, it’s an automatic–but I’m going to do it anyway for the challenge. I want to play with the new steel #2 dpns and sock yarn. The yarn shouldn’t be too slippery and will wear well. But she will have to send a picture of the garnished gearshift for posting. I’m still waiting for a picture of the gearshift for dimensions.

The absolute best blog is Yarn Harlot, an inspiration (sort of) to all knitting bloggers. It’s hard to read, however, when you’re falling out of your chair laughing.
